Trash talking on facebook...should i say something?

Ok, so I have a close friend who got gastric two yrs ago...she looks amazing and has worked so hard to get to where she's at...she's at 130 lbs and I couldn't be happier for her...with that being said, a friend of mine brought up a certain conversation that was had between my friends three cousins on facebook about a family get together. In that conversation they bashed her so bad .this convo was started by one cousin who was at the party to the other two who didn't go..she goes on to tell the other two that she was a giant meat apron with an ugly soul, and that she had acted superior just cause she's lost so much weight, then she goes even further by saying that my friend was texting stuff about her (the cousin) to other ppl and saying comments which she supposed were about her. The horrible part of it all is that none of this is true...I was there!! My friend spent the whole time with her mother and I and since she doesn't have facebook she hardly ever had her phone with her!! She tried talking to her cousin but she got blown off!! My dilemma is...should I tell her about what her cousins said...the other two were quick to join in on the bashing...calling her a heffer among other things...my friend is so happy and I feel that telling her this would only make her sad and hurt..she's already hurt enough that her cousins have stopped talking to her and that despite her being thin, they still call her fat. Being the close friend that I am I feel like telling her only so she could be aware and stay far from these ppl, she doesn't need this kind of negativity...and in her defense, she doesn't have much excess skin at all...u wouldn't even be able to tell she had gastric. Idk what to do...I love my friend but I know this would only hurt her...pls help...should u tell her? And how should I do it? I don't think there is any nice way to say ur family hate u...and oh p.s they villianized and made stuff up about u on a public site to justify what they were about u.
Thing is..she hasn't and doesn't brag at all. She hardly ever bring up her weight loss.

No offense, but I hate people that brag about how much effort they put into losing weight.
its not that great of a big deal.

I wouldn't say anything to anyone. I would just ignore it.
sometimes even your own cousins can be idiots.
they will eventually realize on what they did is wrong.
