Looking to branch out and maybe meet a girlfriend ..help?

I live in Louisville Ky and have tried personal ads with very limited succes.... I work retail and my schedul is crazy but what are some good ways to get out and meet people in ways other then bars.

Online sites are a little different than personal ads, which allow you to chat and see the person and gage compatibility prior to meeting. Also, if you like hiking and photography, join some type of networking group or club local to Louisville.

I would also isolate the kind of girl you are wanting to meet. What are your ideal interests and search that way. Volunteering can be a good avenue.

Also, since you work retail, look at fashion shows, service-industry nights. In Chicago the museums host monthly After Hours parties that have wine, food and art. Always a great social scene. Good luck!
