Why can't I follow or unfollow anyone on Twitter?
Twitter has suddenly stopped letting me follow and unfollow people. When I follow someone it says that I am following them but when I go into the list of people that I follow they're not there. If I then go back to their page it also says I am not following them. It's the same story when I try to unfollow a person. I don't know what's wrong. I have found people on other websites with the same problem but no answers. If anyone can help, please do. I would be very grateful. Thank you in advance.

How many followers and how many you follow? If the ratio is near 1:1, followers to follow rate limit is preventing you from following more users. In that case unfollowing some unnecessary accounts (if any) helps in adding some new to follow list. But as you said you can't unfollow, so wait till your follower number increases. Never follow or unfollow aggressively.
If your case don't fit in the above scenario, probably it is a technical glitch. Try from a different browser, clean your cache & reconnect to Internet. If everything fails, wait till Twitter fixes the problem. |
