i have a problem with my apple id?

ok so i recently bought a $15 itunes card and i redeem it on my apple account but when i try to download apps it says that i have to update my info and it ask me questions to answer that i never even wrote answers to and it won't let me go on to download apps without that info what should i do? i already redeem the $15 on that account did i lose it or can i still have it with another account?
