Mac problem (HELP) .?

I have a macbook pro and a few minutes ago, my screen turned a little white. It is still white right now. It is like the screen has a white piece of paper in front of it and it is very clear. Everything looks like it is a lighter color. How do I solve this? This is also happening to my iPod and sometimes it would go away and come back.
This happens to the entire screen. When I was on my desktop, it turned a shade of white and it stayed like that for any application I go on. I will sign off at 9:00 Central time. So I might not answer until tomorrow at 3:00
