How do not get distracted in college?
Well i am not distracted by people or other things. I just tend to dose off and not get my work done the way I want to. I will try and do it, then I would end up getting on my computer and then I would just fall asleep in my room. I do stay on campus, but I never stay a long time at the library like use to. I also do not get the chance to study for many hours, due to the fact that I always get distracted due to being tired or just feeling lazy. I would try to fight it, but I would give in. What are some good techniques that would help me stay on track? What do you do to prevent yourself from becoming distracted in this manner? Thanks for your answer.

Key kiddo, I suggest you start exercising and stretching especially every morning. Also drink a lot of water, these all in combination will help increase your daily energy levels.
Don't forget what you're working for. A degree is important, and if you don't think it's important than you're wasting your own time.
Good luck and study hard kid.

I am the same way at times. Definitely sit down at your desk (not your bed!) , and give yourself a time frame when to do your work. Also, think of your future and how it will pay off to study now. Also, give yourself small rewards for following through with completing your work.

Hope this helps a little!

To improve your laziness, try going for walks and working out. Try eating healthy foods, like fruits, veggies, yogurts with granola, etc. NO SODA or junk food! Drink lots of water. A combination of these two things will give you more energy, and thus, not always feel tired and lazy. You sound either just lazy or maybe you aren't treating your body properly, which happens a lot to students in college. If you eat better and work out and get enough sleep (8-9 hours), then your energy level will increase.

The second thing you can do is to not bring your laptop to the library. If you have assignments that require a computer, then you can 1) be mature enough to not open any website that could distract you, 2) find a program that blocks all your distracting websites or 3) use the library's computers and sit next to someone. Therefore, you may want to look like you are working to the person next to you, so you'll avoid facebook and other websites.

Find another place to study. AVOID YOUR ROOM. Even lock yourself in those study rooms if you have to. Find the time where you work the best. For some, it's at night on a weekday when there is nothing to do. Others, like me, work best in the morning/early afternoon. Figure that out.
