What small mammals can I own legally in California?
I'm interested in buying a new small animal, preferably nothing bigger then a medium sized dog.
I don't want reptiles as I already own a few I don't want Rodents as I own many. Not interested in Guinea pigs or hamsters. I already have a rabbit. I don't want Cats. I have one already. I don't want dogs. Have three big dogs. I don't want birds. Too noisy and my dogs would eat them. so would the cat. I was very in love with Hedgehogs and Ferrets but they both seem to be illegal where I'm at. I have the room for a large cage or tank, I have the money for monthly vet trips and I have 6 hours a day or more to spend with a new creature. I will also buy two if the animal is very social and needs a companion other then myself. I'm willing to do hours of research and will travel 2 hours away from Hemet California to get this creature.
