Hello Joe,

I am from Dell Social Media and Community.

You will be able to perform a Factory Image Restore from its partition, if you have not deleted it or formatted it during Vista installation.

Follow the steps below;

1.Boot to system Command propt from F12 screen or you can boot from Windows 7 disc. (32/64 bit which is applicable)
2.Go to the System Recovery Options screen, then click on Command Prompt.
3.Figure out which partition you need to be on. Type "dir” command to see which is the Dell Recovery partition. The only folder that will show on the Recovery partition is the Recovery folder.
4.On that partition, change to WindowsSystem32. The restore procedure needs the oledlg.dll located there.
5.Type “ToolsPCRestore” and press [Enter].
6.Follow the prompts until the procedure is completed.

If this has not helped you or if you need any further assistance, feel free to message me on Twitter. I will be happy to assist.
