If I post on my friends Facebook Wall, will he see it when he logs in on his iPhone?

I know he has one of the Facebook Apps on his iPhone, but I'm not sure which one (Facebook Mobile, or Facebook Messenger). Will both of these apps allow him to view his wall?

Also, on the chat thing that pops up on the right side of the screen when I log in (the thing that shows who is online), it has a picture of a phone on it because he's using one of the phone apps.

I was wondering, if he logs in on his laptop, will that phone change to a green dot (like it does on my other friends names who don't have the phone app) to say that he's online?

I don't think Facebook Messenger will allow him to see his news feed and wall but he probably has Facebook Mobile instead as there isn't much point in just having Facebook Messenger and not having the actual Facebook.

The Facebook messenger won't let him see what's on his wall, it will only show him his messages.
If you write on his wall it will give him a notification on the regular app. But if you want to make sure he really gets it, then you should message him. Instead of writing on his wall
