How to get rid of a facebook virus?
basically, my facebook started logging me off a few weeks back, saying i'd changed my password and needed to reset it!
I explained this to my friend and she said it was a virus
but I really don't know how to get rid of it!
and I don't want to create a new account either because I have had my one for about 5 years now.
So any suggestions would be muchly appreciated

someone could be using your account and logging it in and off, did you receive any facebook phishing emails that could have stolen your account and password?

It seems you have been hacked, I don't see what a virus maker will want in a facebook account. First restore your computer to am earlier date ( if your computer can). That's to make sure there are no spyware in your system. Afterwords reset your password, reset your email password (if possible) and there we go. It shouldn't be a problem anymore. Same thing happened to me on facebook and eBay. Good luck! Smile

there isnt really a way to take it off you actually have to delete your whole account and make a new one because if you dont the person or persons hacking your facebook can get all your info date of birth full name etc. which can lead to identity theft and when you make a new one be sure to remember your password and dont share it with anyone i repeat anyone and lock your facebook so only friends can see it and so the public cant see all of your inforrmation one last thing is dont accept friend requests unless if you know that person personally.
