Father's unusual response to daughters behavior?
About a 14-year old girl I know:
Mother checks 14-year old daughters Instagram, twitter and facebook without her daughter knowing. She finds that her daughter is talking to another 14-year old girl about threesomes, foursomes, various porn sites. They are also drawing images of ejaculating penises with the comment, "yummy c*mmy." The outraged mother confronts the daughter and tells the girls father (parents are divorced). The father's response: None. He says, "oh she's just joking around. I had a stack of playboys when I was her age. Then the father says he finds it odd the mother is so upset. Now, when the daughter was at the fathers for a visit, he allowed her to setup a private instagram, facebook and twitter accounts...and block the mother. What are your thoughts on this? Ads |

Thats not very practical co-parenting at all. The father should not be allowing his daughter to block the mother. They need to work together as parents not against each other. I agree with the mother about being upset with the daughter about her actions, but talk to her about it. Shes 14, shes curious, it happens. And most of it could be to do with her just showing off to her friend and vice versa. It just seems like juivinille chitter chatter, unless they are acting upon it its normal and harmless. Watching and talking about porn isnt a crime!!

My thoughts are that he misses having babies around and so he REALLY wants to be a grandfather.

Parents need to be a united front with their children, even when divorced. The 2 of you really need to sit down together & talk properly about this. It isn't right of the girls father to be allowing her to continue with behaviour that disturbs her mother to the extent it does.

That's odd. I think she's being a rebellious girl... You have to ask yourself what were the values you put on her (?) Maybe you should time pass a little bit until things are a bit calm down and so are you and then you can talk to your daughter telling her about her innapropiate behavior.

That is crazy. I have not met a father who would EVER feel that way about his 14 yr old daughter saying all of those things. It sounds like he is just trying to piss off the mother and is using his daughter's rebellious stage to do it.
