Would creating a twitter account be helpful in fund raising for charities?
I would like to continue to raise money for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, but need more creative ways to reach people outside my immediate group. Would a twitter account create a larger circle of possibilities for increasing donations?

Social media is a way to create awareness. A Twitter account allows you to "Follow" and connect with other resources, too. Asking people to donate and support the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is great. Get involved with your local chapter to volunteer, participate in fundraising events, and get ideas and guidelines for your own fundraising efforts. http://www.cff.org/GetInvolved/Volunteer/ Connect your social media with CFs. CFs uses FaceBook, Twitter and Google+.

A charity walk or run raises money for a good cause by capitalizing on people's desire to help as well as get in shape. And there are any number of good causes that need cash infusions--from cystic fibrosis, AIDS or breast cancer research to school districts that face music and sports cutbacks without additional revenues. Whatever the cause, read 381 Plan a Fund-Raising Event, then get on your mark, get set and go!
