I have a crush on someone of the same gender and it's kind of a problem for me?

Theres a guy in my class.

I fantasize about being with him a lot.

Very recently my social life has started to pick up because I was mentally ill as a child and I had trouble interacting with other people, as a result I kind of ended up missing out on a lot of things.

This guy makes a lot of homophobic comments as though he's trying to act like he's not in the closet and it's blatantly obvious to a LOT of people that he may be gay.

Thing is, it's really hard day in and day out because I know that it won't go anywhere. Nothing will come of it.

I'm afraid that if I don't hide it well enough, people are going to see me eyeing him.
To be honest, sometimes I think I might only want to be with him because I can't have him, so I debate whether he's even on the market or not. Sometimes I think I just want to be with him because I've been alone for so long.

Anyway, I guess I just wish the feeling would pass.
