what are the first steps in marketing a new product?

need some advice regarding distributing a new unique product.
advertisement is very expensive so how do i start with a bit of advertisement?
and how do i find a reasonable price market company etc?

The cheapest way to market your product is online. For that you would need to set up a basic website at least. Then you would need to let people know about your website and product. You could do this via social media, submit articles, write guest blog posts. It's best to use a range of strategies and places online. Depending on what your product is you could even try putting it up on Ebay or Craigslist or similar. One way or another you need to write a "sales letter" where you outline the benefits of your product to your customer and demonstrate in some way that your product does what you claim and so on. I'd also advise you look at how people are marketing similar products for ideas.
