Why do people often think others are the same as them?
Sometimes when I'm browsing the questions on this website, I noticed that people who give answers think that because it took them a certain amount of time to do something, it'll take the asker that amount of time as well. I know what I typed sounds confusing, so let me use an example:
Mary wants to learn Japanese, so she starts with the katakana and hiragana. Her friend Mark, who is learning the language himself, tells her that it will take her months to learn it, because it took him months to learn it. Why does Mark automatically assume that Mary can't learn it faster than he did?

This can be applied to all areas of life, I think. Why do people assume their experiences will be the same for everyone else?

Well you have a good question here. And not all people do think like that , Only Educated ones.

Let me explain, You live in two worlds, the first is a world which existed before you existed, and will still be after your cease to exist that's the world that we all share this planet, the sun, the moon the sky the cities and everything we know to be external and share with all humans.
The second world, is a world that it can't exist without you and came to be with you, it's the world within where you have your private thoughts, your feelings and emotions, your faith, your intelligence, your choice, your experiences, your very unique essence.
So the external world is the same fixed general world for all of us, while the internal world, the world within each is unique and different from any other person. Basically the second world is where we truly live and make our own free choices, and that's what makes us different from any other human being.

So here comes the School the media, the TV, social networking etc...where they educate people to learn and only think about the external general world we learn about physical natural facts, historical events, dates, same facts same informations with the same conformity and standardized ways..., so everyone ( the educated ones) end up forgetting their internal world, thinking and seeing only the external world seeing themselves being like everyone else standardized, thinking that we all as that world are the same fixed human beings, with the same reasons, the same ways, and the same purposes. They have basically lost their creativity, and become standardized, they honestly think they are the same and everyone else should be like them, otherwise they feel lost and hate it.

Do school kill creativity ?

And yes we to answer your question everyone is unique, in fact everyone has it's own truth , it's own balance and unique essence.
