What is the best blogging website?

I am looking to start blogging. Not just about what I have done for the day and all that non sense. I want to actually network and talk about real issues and opinions. ( I am a journalism/photography major) I want to start off blogging and doing youtube to get myself out there and gain viewers/readers then eventually get my own site hosted for blogging and stuff. So what do you think would be the best site to start with?

Well, Blogger is good for not knowing anything about HTML. I'm in pretty much the same situation as you are... I like journalism a lot & I like to blog as well... I've been switching back & forth with the same 3 blogging websites... I still can't decide which to stay with.

1. Blogger- Easy to use, & you can follow other blogs as well... you can have followers etc. I used that for a while.

2. Wordpress- It's more professional than Blogger in my opinion (which is what you may be looking for) It's professional looking & also very easy to use (once you get used to it) Also you can change your blog into your own url & it may have better layouts etc.

3. Tumblr- No one has really heard of it, it's simple like Blogger...but not the greatest... it's just an idea... it's more for just simple... not a lot of writing ... more like pictures and videos... like telling what you did for the day etc. (Which you aren't interested in... but I thought you'd like the option)

In my opinion I would go with #2Wordpress. It seems like the best bet for you... I had one but now I'm going back to it so I need to re-do mine but it's http://www.britjflax.wordpress.com
