My iphone 4s doesnt connect to my computer?

So I got my iphone 4s the other day, and when I first got it I set it up and everything and I plugged it into my computer and it said installing driver software and I unplugged it and everytime I plug it in it doesn't recognize it or anything. I've tried switching usb outets, and it's not that because my mouse and keyboard works in them. And when I plug my iphone into another computer it says installing driver software and it starts charging and when I plug it into a wall charger it charges, but I wanna download music to my iphone from itunes. but I can't get my computer to recognize my iphone, help please?
