Dell inspiron 570 won't boot?
I'm running windows 7 home addition. I received a blue screen of death and my dumb butt didn't write down the error code before it shut off. So I rebooted and did a windows recovery update thinking it will fix the problem. Now I can't get past the windows logo when I boot and can't even boot in safe mode. I ran repair computer, and last known good configuration and still same problem. Whenever it goes past windows logo the screen just goes black and eventually vertical lines show up that fade to different colors slowly and stays that way. I did a symptom tree test for booting and blue screen and all test passed. Is there anyone that would have any other ideas?

Hello Riley Rogers,

I am from Dell Social Media and Community.

This may be a problem with the video driver as you have noted that vertical lines appear. It could also be an operating system issue.

To begin with, follow the link below to run a basic hardware test on your system.

If you get any error code, you can associate it to the list given in the link below.

If the tests pass, follow the link below to fix the OS issue.

If even this does not help, remove the system battery, hard drive and memory cards push and hold the power button for about 10 seconds. Reinstall all the components and try to start up your system. If the issue persists, I would suggest you to perform a System Restore.

If this has not helped you or if you need any further assistance, feel free to message me on Twitter. I will be happy to assist.
