Could Christians give an example of the scripture cited in details?
~~~
This is the scripture:
"Woe to him who calls evil good and good evil."
Can you explain to others what this means?
And what does 'woe' mean and how does that work, play out
to those who actually do this?
I suggest there can be more to this verse than first seems to be,
so I hope this gives you much to consider as you think of
examples to show this going on either today or in history.
Woe means an unfortunate happening. The line is basically saying that it is unfortunate and evil for somebody to glorify sins, and condemn kind deeds.
Those who listen to the devil instead of God will get the truth turned upside down and this is the result, calling good evil and evil good. They do this in here all the time especially the Atheists. Jesus is Lord and there is no other truth.
its like calling abortion good and condoning of homosexual acts love, which will provoke the Lord God to anger and His wrath will come upon them who call these things good. and those who oppose abortions and same sex marriages, they call them bigots or homophobes.in order words evil.
This is a regression. He who begins by calling evil good, is then in the position to start seeing good as evil. Seeing good as evil can include blaspheming the Holy Spirit. This is a sin unto death - unforgiven.
The Jewish chief priests and scribes had usurped the positions rightfully inherited by such as Joseph and Mary and others of the kingly and priestly lines. This was calling evil good. And a very dangerous position that is to be in - even today.
When the Christ began His ministry of healing, spreading the Good Message and extending compassion, these same usurpers began to call Good evil. Their condemnation is greater, due to hindering others from entering into heaven.
Today many see political correctness as good, including homosexuality and promotion of sports hysteria, celebrity worship, media fascination, social passivity. This is their right to view as they please - it seems, until the next step rears its ugly head.
Any who stand against these perversity's are then seen as evil. The result is a persecution of people who hold with balanced, healthy viewpoints. Regarding this, the Lord says ``Vengeance is Mine``. A very dangerous position to be facing.
