How long will Facebook delete my account?
I deleted my Facebook for two weeks now. Facebook stated It'll only take 14 days but It has been more than that! I search up my old accounts and the message option is no longer available, which means my old accounts has been deleted. When I search up my newer account, the message option is still available, which means Facebook has not deleted my account yet. How long will Facebook delete my account? Help please, any input on this?

The fun thing about that is, you can't. They even give you a disclaimer saying they will keep all of your information and not really delete the account in case you ever want to "come back". You need a new email if you want to make another account.

Ironically, the answer comes courtesy of a dedicated Facebook group no less. The “How to permanently delete your facebook account” group, created by Magnus Wallin, lays our three steps to Facebook removal:

1. Delete everything that is related to your profile. That includes, but is not limited to: pictures, friends, messages, wall-posts, mini-feeds, news-feeds, posted items, interests, groups, applications, gifts….etc etc etc… Get the picture? EVERYTHING!

2. Contact the Facebook staff and request a permanent deletion of your account and that all information about you is fully erased. Of course, remember to tell them your user name.

Alice is right.

There's a service that will do it for you. http://www.socialrestart.com/ will delete all your Facebook posts, messages, locations, events, groups, etc. All deletions are done by hand.
