Any ideas about using Social Media with Event Planning and what kind of Social Networks you advice to focus with?

Social Media is a great form of free advertising especially if you have a limited budget in advertising. I suggest you focus with Facebook and Twitter but I advice you to strategically use those moderately so that you may prevent yourself from receiving a spam flagged.

Once you have a sizable following on Facebook, Twitter, etc. what you want to do is create enthusiasm for the event. The whole idea with social media is having your topic go viral - having your following tell their followers, who in turn tell their followers, and so on.

So, be excited about the event.
