Does anyone know any small social networking sites?

I'm wondering if anyone knows any small social networking sites as I don't want to join Facebook as it's too big to be anything if you know what I mean. I want something that has a more community feel than Facebook which just seems to steal your privacy. Anyone know any?

XAT, i'm pretty sure you could consider it a social network. Or even something a little bit less popular than FB which is Twitter, or even Tumblr. Hope this helps

personally, I hate facebook, I really recommend tumblr I mean I know it's not exactly a 'small' social networking site but omg you will love it, it can be quite confusing at first but once you get the hang of it, it can become quite addictive haha. Also the people you discover on tumblr are so so so much nicer, and really understand each others feelings. Hope this helped X
