I need at least 4 examples of architectural structures built between the years 1000 AD and 1600 AD. It's for social studies and I can't find anything on google except for some competition thing! Even one idea would be great! Thanks for your time!

Hello-

Here you go!

Leap Castle was built in 800 AD by the O’Bannon family and was originally called “Leim ui Bhanain,” or “Leap of the O’Bannons.” The O’Bannons were the “secondary chieftains” of the territory, and were subject to the ruling O’Carroll clan.

El Castillo ("castle" in Spanish) was built between 700 and 800 AD. It is a 78 foot tall pyramid that sheds light on the Mayans impressive astronomical system. El Castillo is, in reality, a solar calendar. There are 91 steps on each side and 1 for the roof/altar. Each day's shadows fall upon a different step. The discovery of the use of astronomy is incredible given the era in which the Mayans lived. With El Castillo, the Mayans knew exactly when to plant their crops. This only hints as to what else the Mayans discovered with astronomy.

In 900 AD, the Toltecs built another sacred site, the Temple of the Plumed Serpent, at Xochicalco and are said to have been building an entire city, entitled Milta, in tribute to the Quetzalcoatl – said to be a “bringer of civilization” – before construction was abandoned for unknown reasons.

America's first highway system was built about 900 A.D. in and around Pueblo Bonito in Chaco Canyon, New Mexico, by the Anasazi people, according to the AAA. The network of wide roadways connected Pueblo Bonito with 100 communities across 40,000 square miles. The Anasazi left Chaco Canyon in the mid-1200s. Their descendants, the Navajo, still live nearby.

Hope this helps!
