Slow bluetooth transfer speeds?
i have a dell 14z laptop and an lg extravert phone. im trying to transfer music files from the laptop to my phone using bluetooth. it does work but the transfer speed is very slow. 5-10kb/s. 8 songs took over 2 hours to transfer. shouldnt it go faster than that?

Hello burntliquid,

I am from Dell Social Media and Community.

Unfortunately, the transfer rates depend from device to device.
Both, the Dell system and your phone uses a 3.0 card and Bluetooth 3.0+HS provides theoretical data transfer speeds of up to 24 Mbit/s, though not over the Bluetooth link itself. A Bluetooth 3.0 device without the "+HS" suffix will not support High Speed, and needs to only support a feature introduced in Core Specification Version 3.0[34] or earlier Core Specification Addendum 1.

I would suggest you to use the data transfer cable for the best performance and faster transfer rates.

If this has not helped you or if you need any further assistance, feel free to message me on Twitter(@NiranjanatDell). I will be happy to assist.
