I am a Virtual assistant, looking for a large amount of work for me and my team...any ideas?
I am looking for a large contract for my administration and virtual assistant service, I have worked with investors and property investors, medical and personal clients, what I am looking for perhaps is to become associated with a bank, or a large company with an intranet site, on which I can be the exclusive virtual assistant, though I am finding it hard to find the correct vehicle to carry this out on.
I am also interested in investment in this to help enable the Business to grow. Any ideas or pointers would be appreciated

Join on-line and off-line business networks to make contact with people who have contacts in your target market. A recommendation from someone in your network will carry more weight than a cold-calling approach to your prospective customers.

One place to start is with your local Business Link, assuming you're in the UK. They're very good for marketing advice and on funding. In addition, they run networking events, many of which are free. There's also a host of other networking organisations such as BNI, BRX, BoB, NRG, B4B that run regular networking events. On-line, look at organisations such as Ecademy and Linked In.

Good luck!

I would like to suggest the following steps to make you successful with looking for clients.

1. Social Networking - There are a couple of social networking sites facebook, linkedin, ecademy and many more. These will help you meet different kind of business people that could help you connect with the right people that you need to talk with regard to your good services.

2. Ad Listings - You can post an ad to different listing sites that are famous and ranks well on google. Like craigslist, kigigi and many more.

3. Try to advertise through blogs and submit them to famous blog sites like ezine to find more interested viewers.

There are a lot of ways for you to look for clients. The best thing I suggest would be to look for the right audience through different networking sites. So that you would be given the opportunity to share what you can do to different interested people. Good luck!

The best way to become a successful Virtual Assistant is to develop a brand name and a business identity. You can do this by creating several marketing materials at a very low cost: business cards, website, a customer list and services you offer. These materials can help you with finding clients.

You also need to market yourself by word of mouth, networking locally and online. You can place free ads in places like craigslist and kijiji.

There are lots free articles, forums and software. If you find yourself needing more guidance you can also hire a VA coach (see Source), who can coach you in website design, SEO, marketing and basics of business building.

Another option is to partner with an already successful Virtual Assistant who is looking to hire other VA's.

Good luck..
