My friend doesn't seem to trust me?
I need a little advice...I have a friend... we've been friends for about 6 years. He says I'm one of his closest friends, most days we talk either face to face or through facebook... we sometimes go out and do things, the thing is I feel like he doesn't trust me... he won't give me his cell phone number although I know some people he has given it to that he doesn't really even talk to much...I just think that's kinda weird and then I've invited him over to my place to hang out a few different times and he always just ignores me and doesn't answer, just today he said he doesn't currently have internet service and he needs to find a computer to do his taxes on... I told him he could come over and use mine and he just ignored me... he's never invited me over... should I just back off and leave him alone? How can we be friends if he doesn't trust me or is it something else?? Am I over-reacting? I don't get angry about it, it just bothers me.
BTW... he has no reason not to trust me... I've never liead to himm I've never betrayed him or stabbed him the back or anything like that...

I don't know but to me it sounds like he doesn't consider you as a really close friend. A real friend would want to hangout with you and make an effort for the friendship to work You can't just focus your time on one person. Try joining clubs or volunteering to find new friends don't wait for one person to ask you to hangout. I'm sure you will meet many new friends and they would love to hangout with you and will treat you a lot better.
I had this problem with someone I thought was a close friend as Well but it was actually just her personality and how she was maybe that's just how he is and you need to try to initiate things first. Just go out and keep yourself busy if he is your friend he will hopefully start messaging you some more if not then maybe it just wasn't meant to be.

It sounds like you're trying to hard to 'lead'. Maybe he'd like to 'lead'? Give it a try, it won't hurt...and, may actually 'give you a rest'.
