Should I apologize to this girl over Facebook?

Four months ago I asked my crush that I have had for almost 4 years to hang out. She said ya and offered to pick me up. She seemed really interested at first. I bailed four times because I was nervous to be around her. I don't know if she is till interested but she is a Senior and leaving in a couple months and I regret not going with it so much. I am so mad at myself. I am going to talk to her in person and apologize but I won't be able to for maybe over a week. I can't wait that long so should I apologize over Facebook and tell her how I couldn't wait and tell her sorry or wait in do it in person. I am just so mad and want to tell her right away but I feel like it will be more meaningful in person. What should I do?
