How to sell personal things like clothing and house items?
Over the last 30 years I have collected a ton of things which of course I no longer need or want. I would love to sell them but don't want to have tons of people trying to get everything for nothing. Each item would take me forever to put in ads. Yardsales would not bring me close to reasonable prices
I have curtain, sheets, ornaments, lamps, dishes, tons of clothing (blue jeans, tops and slacks) dishes, you name it, I have it.
Thanks

1] Never stick to one form of advertising. I suggest:

2] http://www.sellit-right.com/ - advertise services & products, add url, can edit your ad in category, no confirm e-mail -better.

2] http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Search_engine_optimization

3] Loot.com – online and offline advertising.
4] Create a blog, allow comments, add links.
5] Add url to directories.
6] Join Myspace and Facebook & add groups and people interested.
7] Add company name on all your company vehicles etc.

Well, if you do not want to have a yard sell OR advertise in the newspaper, then you could itemize a part at a time and donate to Goodwill or Salvation Army as they will give you a legal skip of paper which can be itemized as a tax donation when you do your taxes. My son and his wife did this when they got married. It helps to cut down on your taxes.
