if you turn your phone on airplane mode or turn wifi off, will there be no radiation signals?

know how people say that your cell phone gives off radiation and can cause cancer? if i turn my phone on airplane mode or turn the wifi off, will ALL signals (incoming phone calls and texts, facebook notifications, app notifications, etc) be turned off so there's no "radiation" getting let off? if so, which one(s)? (airplane mode or will turning off the wifi do the same?) i feel unsafe having my phone right by my head at night.

There has been lots of researches done about phones and do thay cause radiation? The answer is no. They dont lead to cancer. But even if wifi is off and its on airplane mode, its still safer to turn the phone off. But if you really need it then you really need it. Just remember to turn your phone off when your on an airplane. Your phone transmits signals which could interfere with the signals the plane is sending and recieving.

So turn your phone off at night or use airplane mode.

In airplane mode there will be no significant radiation. Only turning the the WiFi off will not eliminate all transmissions because the phone will send out a short signal every once in a while to let the local cell phone towers know it is in range.

That's how the cell phone system finds you when you get a call and are 1,000 miles from home .

The evidence of that is not convincing, but there are other reasons to turn it off at night. Like saving energy, battery life, and not being woken up in the middle of the night by a wrong number.

Radio frequency radiation like those associated with cellular telephones, wi-fi signals, or blue tooth signals can *NOT* cause damage to your DNA sufficient to induce cancer. The energy in the signals is not sufficient to break any chemical bonds. Think of it like having somebody throw a rock at you made out of styrofoam. Yes, it will hit you, but it will do no damage. You could be hit with styrofoam rocks all day every day and it won't hurt you.

Turning off wifi will only turn off the wifi signals from your phone. If you are in a house with a wireless router, you will still be subjected to those waves unless you turn off the router, too. Your phone also emits cellular radio frequencies and possibly blue tooth frequencies (if you have blue tooth turned on). If you engage "airplane mode", all radio transmissions are turned off.
