Can you get VIRUS from facebook if you DON'T click on links?

can I get virus?

Why are people so sucked into Facebook why cant they go out and start living real lives not internet accosiated lives

everything you click is a link... if on here you click answer or discover... your clicking a link. granted you can greatly reduce your risks of viruses and malware but never eliminate it completely. even with the best virus protection,frequent scans/updates it only takes one virus better than your protection. best bet is just to be cautious of what you do and use common sense
