What would be so bad about privatizing Social Security?

The democrat party whiners who have no understanding of the difference between an account that bears no interest or growth VS. one that has risk but also a huge gain over the current ponzi scheme are the ones loudly against the idea of privatizing social security.

The current stack of govt IOU's (there is NO cash in the social security system) is broke because the stinkin' politicians could NOT keep their hands off it. It would be in better condition if they could have never touched it, but still wouldn't be adequate because of population dwindling.
