When is information dangerous?

I read a news article today about a man who had been arrested the police said he had been arrested because he had posted dangerous information on social media sites. they said he hadn't intended to use the information but the information was dangerous.
morally is information dangerous?
it was my understanding that information was the truth and the turth will set you free. the truth was only dangerous to liars.
people might say instructions on making a bomb is dangerous information but is not it only dangerous if some one does something with it , the information itself cant cause harm can it?

Information itself is neither good or bad. But how it is used could prove to be good or bad, depending on its outcome and how it effects mankind or the environment.
