Is this a good synthesis paragraph?
Growing up with so much social media and technology is not only dangerous to teens but it can also be dangerous to adults. Online postings can be seen by many different types of people and can determine a person’s future. Statuses or Tweets can determine whether a person has a job in the future. Anyone can see anything someone posts and when a person posts something, they forget about who can see it causing them their job. When someone loses their job because of something, they posted online, high school students begin to watch what they post in case colleges decide to look at their accounts online. Source 4 states “nothing that exists in the social media universe is completely private” and colleges can find your profile on any social media sight. Colleges find a person’s profile to see what has been posted by them in order to determine whom the candidate to accept into their college is and who not to accept. Before even getting into college, students in high school need to watch what they post because it could determine whether they can play sports in high school. According to Source 4, “high school athletes operate on social media sights without realizing there are often consequences.” Consequences for inappropriate postings can be suspension from the team, or worse, getting kicked off the team. Students do not realize that if they do not play sports in high school, they will not play in college.

It is supposed to be about whether social media has a positive/negative effect. Is there anything I could do to improve this?

Yes, this is the good synthesis paragraph to go for.. Some extra notes: Include the ending sentence for the paragraph in order to finish the synthesis!

Good luck!
