why does Facebook need my information, if i have a code?

with my website i recieved a coupon code as a gift for purchasing it. its for free advertising on facebook,

i would like my ad to be there, but Facebook asks me for my credit card details, my address, my full name, the lot.

i just dont feel comfortable doing that, Facebook or not, id rather it didnt have to be that way.
i have a coupon code, why cant i just use it without having to do that??

i just want to advertise my website!!!

Because, its only a free trail. You use the code, get it for awhile and then they will start charging you. No one pays attention to fb ads, and a lot of us have adblockers so we dont even see them. You might want to try a different route for advertising.
