Does it make me a sociopath that I don't want to share my personal life on facebook?
I work as a social media manager so I spend all day on social networks. I see people's behaviour on those social networks like anthropology. I like sharing interesting content ( mostly news and politics) but when it comes to my personal life, I'm very reserved. I've been dating the love of my life for 4 years and I've posted only two photos of ourselves. My friends keep complaining that I never post anything about us. I rarely post photos of my friends and I or even vacation pictures. I just don't like the culture of "let me post a hot photo of me and wait for the compliments to pour in."

Also, we recently got engaged and I told my closed friends but I refuse to post anything on Facebook about it. My friends keep telling me I'm a sociopath because I don't plan to share any news about my personal life on social networks, much less post a single engagement, wedding or baby photo. Since when is it wrong to want to want to be a private person?

Of course not. You're just reserved.

If you check the definition of sociopath, you will conclude that your friends are idiots.

Facebook wants to act as if any photos posted there become their property and they can use them as they see fit. All the info you post about yourself is gathered to make a profile of you, and your information is sold to advertisers who can use that info to target you with their ads more persuasively. I don't need facebook if I want to email pictures or news to friends and family.
