Why do we, as Humans, live the way we do today, and can we ever go back to our roots?
I've been wondering for a long time about why we're here. Religion tells us it's our purpose to be here, but we all know religion is humans most ambitious invention ever, even though few admit to it.(I do go to Church, however, so don't get me wrong!) And why did we evolve ourselves to create society and civilization? No life form needs to have the essence of civilized life, including us. So why do we have clothing, domesticated food sources, and electricity? I understand that Humans are social mammals. We couldn't live successfully in the wild on our own, but that still doesn't give us a reason to have any source of media and speedy communication. We have, by now, gotten ourselves so embedded in our belief that Humans are the master race and that it's our job to destroy the rock that gave us life in the first place, that I've been questioning myself if we will ever be able to go back to our roots, as small groups of about 50 that roam about or farm for food. Can we ever be able to live without our desires and false imaginings? Can we ever be able to live successfully without borders, war, and government just like everything else? When will we be able to this again, if we can ever do this again?

As plain as I can say, only god can make that happen once again. We will never be able to give up our luxuries because certain people simply refuse to. God would have to end the life as we know it more than likely and start over, Although I don't believe that will happen. I do not believe in the 2012 theory.

People (especially us americans) have a sense of entitlement like we are owed something! We can never go back as a people. Some individuals will try the old way of life. Move to the rural country, grow your own food, have no luxuries, etc...the simple life. As for most, without technology, life would end (metaphorically).

Andrew; you obviously weren't ever in a failing commune;
I mean a 1969-74 hippie commune in its death-throws.. .

Read up on such utopian attempts.

Nothing, [really is] much wrong. The serious issue is
OVERPOPULATION -especially east of the great
Misissippi River. Yes; TOO many folks living ridiculously
'high ON the hog': burning 'round 60% more energy than
other Western nations do, per capita. (Check it out).

Oh; and WAR IS the normal state of life; (animals included).. .
