How do you find a famous person?

I am going to America for a holiday soon (mainly in New York) and I would really really really want to see my most favourite actor. How do I find him? I can only tweet to him through twitter and he may not even get any of my tweets at all as after all he is famous!! Although I did get a tweet from him once before... Also I know he lives in Los Angeles. When I'm going to New York so, how can I get to see him? I'm gonna be close enough (in the same country) and how will I know if he is in New York or not? Or whereabouts he is?? I know this may sound impossible but I'm really desperate, thank you.

If he lives in Los Angeles, and you're visiting New York, no offense but you will not find him. If you know he will be in New York however, try to find what hotel he will be staying at. I found danisnotonfire once because we were staying in the same hotel. Don't be a stalker and don't find his room number, though. You could get in big legal trouble if he is that famous. Just do some research on where he will be staying and hope for the best!

new york is on the opposite side of los angeles...you may not meet him but if you are lucky enough you may meet another famous person on the street...just try and visit the high-end posh streets frequently

famouse people aint just walking into a mcdonalds or walking around like nothing,, and i dont wanna be mean but you realize how huge America is rite? LA aint across the Street from NY, and you cant just go to LA and walk to his house to say hello, you would need to know him, and or maybe see him in some premier or something unless your rich the chances of meeting an actor from a major show or movie are very small. dont take it personally. you should probably follow him on twitter or something.
