When you get a request to add your birthday to a calendar on Facebook, Did your friend send it personally?

Today I received a request from friends asking me to write my birthday on what seems to be a Facebook application. When I click the notification I go to this page asking me to accept an app. I don't like apps so I never accept.

The thing is that I've received the same invitation from many friends and now I'm wondering if maybe they took time and actually thought about me and sent the request. On the other hand, it might just be a funny application that's automatically sent to all of your friends.

May you please tell me how is it?

yes i get them a lot so it is fine and not a scam i ask them first if they sent it and they said yes
