I need a little help getting this history assignment started?
I don't want you to do it for me, I just want a little push to get started. I have no idea what to write about!
Time for you to take on the responsibility of being an international journalist! You are using social media to report the thick of the action of the Crusades! Your assignment is to keep the world updated on what is happening in ten short posts. Remember that as a reporter your job is to remain neutral and report the facts. As you prepare each post, keep the following points in mind: •You should have a total of ten posts. •Check to make sure your reporting is accurate. Others are counting on the right information! State facts, not just opinions. •Include details about the events and the historical figures involved in each time period. •Cite specific locations, and explain their importance. Use at least two maps from this lesson! •Your updates should be through, with enough information to be interesting. This means you should write at least three sentences (containing factual information) for each post. Ads |

Talk about the all the different European nations the crusaders came from. Which Kings supported the War. Maybe talk about how the battles were fought. Post on what the Crusaders were taking as spoils of war and what was brought back. Just a few little thoughts you could talk about, hope this helps!

I would think that your posts should build on each one ... as if you are in the 'thick of the crusades' reporting as it unfolds.
So, your first post would be about the beginning ... "Yesterday, (or whatever you can nail down on the dates of the 1st crusade) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pogroms_of_1096 Next post ... could still be dealing with the 1st, just later in the crusade or move to the next? And so on .... go chronological ... it is the best approach to this type of assignment. Here are other sites with information ... and a search using "crusades information and facts" will likely get you plenty of information and maps, etc http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fourth_Crusade http://www.cristoraul.com/AUTHORS/von-sy...usades.htm |
