why do ppl tell u not to tell som1 u like them over any form of media?

Why do they tell you not to confess your fondness for someone over a text measage or somthing like facebook, does it make you look weak or something like that?

Personally, I'd say it removes the emotion of the situation. You can't tell if the other person has their mates there laughing at you, plus the person has as long as they want to react. It's meant to be spontaneous. It's nerve wracking telling someone face to face how you feel whether its good or bad, but it's worth it!!

People would rather be told that you like them in person and face to face because it make it seem like you are willing to put work into the relationship and they are worth it.
