Computer Start up Problems?

Every time I turn my computer on it goes to a black screen so I have to turn it off and restart it. After that it has to go through a system restore all the time, and it's getting irritating. Also when I do get on, I notice that many applications have stopped working on my browser, such as ponyhoof for facebook, Ad Block for youtube, and a bunch of other extensions, so I am not sure exactly what to do at this point.
