What is this "photo comments" nonsense on facebook?

SOOOO....I have gotten a few notifications on facebook that so and so tagged me in a picture. But, when I click on the link, it brings me to an application (i think) and asks me to add the app or whatever....is this some kind of facebook virus sort of thing? Or is this a legit facebook app?

No it's just not the default photo thing that you have when you first sign up..some dumb application, I'd just deny it.
