I tried hacking on to my boyfriends email account?

I tried hacking on to my boyfriends email because i had the gut feeling he was doing something behind my back. I couldnt Get into his email but than he found out i tried hacking in to his account. And he never wanted me to have his email and facebook password ever. What should i do

My wife of a lot more years than I care to think about has
never known my password and I have never known hers
there is absolutely no need for any of us to go through
others personal stuff and you should respect that
By the way it is illegal to try and Hack an account
