What narrative did I lose?

I believe that civilians should be required to at least go through the same requirements that our police officers and military have to adhere to in order to obtain a gun....thorough background checks and mental health screenings.

I will believe this no matter how many times republicans claim that crazy people should have more rights to guns than the people charged with protecting us from those crazy people.
