Will being on phone at night affect your eye sight?
So at night, around 8 pm, i go on my phone and on Facebook. I go on for about 2 to 3 hours every night. Will that affect my eye sight and will it change my eye on how clear i can see things? I have to go on, it's like an addiction. Anyways to help?

Lol, I'm 18 so I totally understand your fb/texting addiction. It's totally fine. Just don't bring your phone like EXTREMELY close to your face ever, and at night, don't let your phone be the only light in the room. That's when it would damage your vision, if you're using your bright little phone in the dark, because you're focusing harder on your phone.

There is no evidence it will affect your eyesight although you migth get eyestrain headaches.

While you are using your phone, you will be blinking less, so your eyes will dry out and may sting or burn from dryness. This could also cause eye strain and headaches.

An addiction is where there is a pay off, a reward, every time there is a reward, the behaviour is reenforced even if there is a negative price to pay like dry eyes or eye strain.

People who gamble, lose most of the time, but when they win they get a high from it, so no matter how many times they lose, the high of winning, causes the addiction.
