Have I been invited to this facebook group?

I have had a group randomly show up on the side panel next to the other groups on my facebook page. It tells me that 20 friends have been invited to this group. I'm just confused, have I been invited to this group by one of those friends/how else did this group find me.

no it does not mean that you have been invited to that group.
if you have a group invitation it directly reaches to your notifications.
the group you saw randomly on side panel next to the other groups was just a suggestion of facebook.
