What to do when you're embarrassed to tell I guy you like him?

I like my friend. it's been 2 years now and i post songs on facebook and flirty with other guys in front of him, and made out with my on/off boyfriend just to make him jealous because yes I'm immature. but now, I'm starting to get over it and I really just want to tell him that I have feelings for him and think about him all the time.

i've embarrassed myself and acted so stupid in front of him that I'm scared to be serious for once. plus, i'm scared of embarrassing myself even more. should I just let him go or should I try and tell him how I feel?
