how do I get my site recognised?

I just started a new forum site which you can see here http://www.clockworkgamers.com and I was wondering how I get active members In I think I have done my best in order to make the site look it's best and stand out from the crowd but now what? Any help would be appreciated.

You only have 1 backlink. If you want to be listed by Google and get a better exposure for your site you need more backlinks.
Google for SEO (search engine optimization) You will find things you need to know about keywords, backlins...
Also you can make presence on social media sites Facebook, twitter Google+ use this to do marketing for your site, ask your friends to help you to talk about your site on these sites to others.
