How do i reset my dell computer to factory settings?
Ughhhh I tired posting this Question twice, anyways...

I Have a Dell Touch Screen Desktop that needs to be restarted to the factory settings.
I dont know much about computers, so step-by-step would be nice.
I have tired "As the computer is turning on, press and hold the "F8" key" and "Turn off and reboot your computer. When you see the Windows flash screen, depress "CTRL" and "F11".

Neither of this worked so please give me some good news, this is NOT my day...Thanks in advance.
I have saved everything i need so dont worry, haha.

Do you have Windows 8? If so, you're in luck, it makes it much easier.

In order for people to help you and they will, providing you give the right information in this case The model number. As you have already said you don't know much about computers if that is the case I would advise you not to do this unless there is a serious error with windows. Its a last resort not a causal house keeping task that one performs.

Hello Lily,

I am from Dell Social Media and Community.
Follow the link below to restore your system to original factory settings:

If you are unable to perform Dell PC Restore, it could be because of the corruption of the file/partition during a previous install. However, you can follow the link below to manually install the operating system using the recovery discs.

If this has not helped you or if you need any further assistance, feel free to message me on Twitter(@NiranjanatDell). I will be happy to assist.
