How do I delete statuses on facebook?
I've kind of avoided going on Facebook for over a year due to family issues, boyfriend break up etc. I've decided to 'reconnect' with everyone except for the losers who I no longer have in my life(ex boyfriend&ex mates!). Unfortunately I stil have their statuses and my statuses on my page, how do I delete these previous statuses, updates etc without wiping the whole thing? my last comments were how me and my (ex)boyfriend were happy blah blah blah and i obviously dont want that on my earlier statuses etc(he was a total jerk) or people reading that etc. in a year,a lot has happened,iv moved on etc so how do I delete these past statuses? thanks!

move your cursor at the top right of the post you will see a X appear, click on it and delete!

Edit: Actually it's a pencil that will appear if it's on your wall

Hey!

It is simpler than it may at first seem Smile

At the top of each post, on the right hand side there will be a small drop down arrow which will allow you to 'hide from timeline'. This will hide that specific post however it will still be available to view via news feed and through search.
More good news is that after you have hidden the post from your timeline you will see a notification in its place which offers you the option of Undoing the hide, or permanently deleting the post, if you REALLY don't want it there!

Also, under the primary status (i.e. above the comments) there will be displayed in gray the time at which the status was first posted. You can actually click on the gray text and the status and any comments will come up by itself. In this page there are options such as the above where you can do what you want with the post! Smile

Best of luck!

Sam
